Books and blogs about trails that I’d highly recommend
Books about trailrunning:
- Feet in the clouds: a tale of fell-running and obsession, Richard Askwith. Just don’t miss it. One of the most inspiring books I’ve ever read. It’s a little heavy in detail in places, but worth the effort.
- Born to Run: The Hidden Tribe, the Ultra-Runners, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen, Christopher McDougall. Trails, and a re-examination of why we run in shoes. If you’ve ever wanted to run slightly further than you think you should, read it!
- What I Talk About When I Talk About Running, Haruki Murakami, Mostly about road running, but there’s inspiration there for us all. And the tale of an(other) ex-smoker who runs huge distances!
