About

I’ve recently read three books where the protagonist’s an unfit, overweight, ex-smoker who turned their life around and became obsessed with running…and two of them were into trail running. There’s hope for us all!

When I was 26 years old I’d never run further than to the local pub. Then I entered a ‘try-a-triathlon’, involving a 2 km run. I ran it, and amazed myself by loving it. Four-months later I ran a half-marathon, then the following year ran a marathon. The next year I ran an ultra. On trails. Through the Glasshouse Mountains in South East Queensland (Australia). I’ve run a few more trails since, and I’ll try and get some of the race reports onto these pages for those of you who share my interest.

Life’s fleeting, and there’s a lot to try and fit into such a short space. I try. This blog’s just for writing about a few of the fun aspects of my life. If you want to know who I am outside of this sphere, check out my ‘day job’ site or my professional site.
